Held back by feelings of guilt, alienation, anger, anxiety or lack of motivation?

Ageing, Fate and above all the Other (people, society, the law, etc...) can make life a real suffering. Yet, our general attitude is a will not to know: not to know what ails us, not to know why we do what we do, not to know what we secretly seem to enjoy, and so on. We are driven by darkness, and can suffer greatly from it. Relying on the 'desire-to-know' as the driving force my clinical approach builds on an authentic alliance where the unknown knowledge trapped in your experience can be articulated in absolute confidentiality.

Western philosophy with psychoanalysis as a framework for psychotherapy

As the philosopher Heidegger put it:

'Language is the House of Being - Knowing the world (ʋoєîʋ) - or rather addressing oneself to the 'world' and discussing it (λόγος) - functions as the primary mode of Being-in-the-world' (see section on Research).

Areas around which my practice is specialized:

  • Difficulties in relationship - marital, familial & professional

  • Anger management, mood swings, irritability, addiction(s)

  • Work related issues, lack of drive/progress/desire

  • Low self-esteem and confidence, shyness

  • Feelings of loneliness, isolation and alienation

  • Bereavement, deprivation, loss, grief or mourning

  • Lack of sense of self and purpose, meaninglessness

  • Depression, bulimia, suicidal thoughts

  • Panic attacks, stress, worries, lack of concentration

  • Sexual issues, alienating fantasies, impotence

  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

  • Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

Painful feelings that are not somehow channelled in self-rewarding ways may eventually lead to real psychical suffering. Forgotten wounds that are not articulated but kept hidden cannot heal, and instead show up in symptoms. Indeed, one way for us to do this may be recognized in our attempts at fixating this pain in repetitive but frustrating and ultimately destructive patterns we return to compulsively (Jouissance).
